About Me:
Historian of the early colonial Andes with interest in science, technology, indigenous knowledges, and colonialism. My research focuses on colonial visitas, land inspections and censuses undertaken in Andean native villages in the first century of colonial rule. I study in these documents exchanges of natural knowledge between Andeans and Spanish colonial bureaucrats, and the rise of standardized quantification across Andean villages.
