Gabriel Lopes Appointed Co-editor of Manguinhos

Gabriel Lopes, a researcher at the Casa de Oswaldo Cruz (COC/Fiocruz), has been appointed co-editor of História, Ciência, Saúde — Manguinhos. He will share this role with Marcos Cueto until December 2025. Beginning in January 2026, Lopes will assume full responsibility as editor, with an initial four-year term, renewable. Lopes holds a PhD in the History of Science and Health from COC/Fiocruz. His research interests include the history of diseases, history of animals, and global health.The journal has also renewed its editorial board with: Regina Horta Duarte (Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, Brazil), Maria Isabel Porras (Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha, Spain), Elizabeth O’Brien (University of California, Los Angeles, USA), Mauricio Nieto (Universidad de los Andes, Colombia), and Maria Paula Diogo (Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Portugal).
